Maruti Ritz Automatic

Maruti Ritz Automatic

Maruti Ritz Automatic will launche next month. It will have the same automatic 4-speed gear box as that of "Astar".It will be facelifted version of the Ritz hatchback. The car will get changes with a new front end replete with a new grille and bumper . Apart from these changes, the facelifted 2012 Ritz is get more fuel efficient petrol and diesel engines in the form of the 1.2 Liter K-Series 80 Bhp-112 Nm engine and the 1.3 Liter Fiat Multijet 75 Bhp-19o Nm turbo diesel engine, as was the case with the all new Swift hatchback.
These engines will get a five speed manual gearbox as standard, the big story is the 4 speed automatic variant that the car is expected to be offered with in the Indian car market. The Ritz with the automatic gearbox will be the second car in Maruti’s current B-segment line up to feature the automatic gearbox, with the first being the A-Star. The Ritz comes with a tall boy design. The addition of the automatic gearbox would further make the Ritz one of the most convenient drives in town. The 2012 Ritz is already being sold in European markets as the Suzuki Splash where the car is offered with both the manual and automatic gearbox variants. The European version also gets a smaller 1 liter K-Series engine, powering the entry level variant. However, the smaller engine won’t be offered in the Indian market, which will have to make do with the 1.2 Liter petrol engine. The Indian variant of the Ritz is also expected to be offered in ZDi trim, a variant which is presently missing in the current variant. The top end diesel variant of the facelifted 2012 Ritz will thus get airbags and ABS as standard.
